What Is Nordic Walking?
Nordic Walking is a form of fitness walking using specially designed poles. It engages the upper body and was originally developed as summer training for cross-country skiers. The method was refined in Finland in collaboration with Exel Oyj, sports medicine researchers, and fitness professionals. Nordic Walking was officially launched in Finland in 1997 and has since become a globally recognized fitness activity.
