JOGGING TOURS

Experience Helsinki the way you love – running.

With Jogging Helsinki your running tour in Helsinki will be much more than anonymous houses passing by. In our company you don't need to think about routes or too many traffic lights. You can enjoy the jogging tour, together with a local.

The private jogging tours are customized for each client. Normally the tour lasts for 50 minutes.

The tours are planned to offer you highlights of Helsinki, nature and urban culture. We prefer tours with few or no traffic lights – that will give you a more smooth running experience.

As a customer on the private tours you set the jogging speed but please note that the maximum speed is around 10–12 km/h (6 mph). In a group (2–4 persons), the speed is set by the slowest participant.

If you wish to run faster than the maximum speed mentioned above or longer than 50 minutes – please contact us. Faster or longer tours are possible to arrange, but the guide might join you on his or her bicycle.

The tour usually starts and ends at your hotel or other accommodation (in central Helsinki) or at some other place that you have decided upon together with the guide.

Book: By e-mail or telephone.

NORDIC WALKING AND WALKING

Would you like to try something very Finnish? Nordic Walking, walking with poles, is good exercise and a fun way to experience Helsinki. Walking with poles is especially recommended during the winter when the streets of Helsinki can be slippery from ice and snow.

We provide you with walking poles from Exel.

The private walking tours are customized for each client. Minimum length is 50 minutes. As a customer you set the walking speed. In a group (2–4 persons), the speed is set by the slowest participant.

Nordic walking is fitness walking with specially designed poles. Please mention in your reservation if you wish to make the tour in Nordic walking. The guide will provide you with poles.

Nordic Walking engages the upper body during fitness walking. Nordic Walking was first used as a summer training method by cross-country skiers. It was then developed into a fitness exercise with specific training equipment in co-operation with the Finnish sports equipment manufacturer Exel Oyj, researchers in sports medicine, and other fitness professionals. Nordic Walking was first launched in Finland in 1997.

It has rapidly increased in popularity and today Nordic Walking is well-known fitness sports.

If you choose a longer tour and are interested in some special areas in the Helsinki region, please contact us in advance. That will enable us to plan a tour that meets your interests in the best way.
